Objectives:  After watching this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Assess disease activity in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) on the basis of subjective and objective measures of blood flow with contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS);
  2. Characterize inflammatory masses as phlegmon or abscess on the basis of blood flow; and
  3. Determine the significance of enhancement of bowel wall masses.
