Dr. Kono is a clinical professor of hepatology and radiology, and her practice includes many HCC and cirrhotic patients. She started using CEUS in 1994 and studied liver tumor diagnosis in various animal models with CEUS. She has been the chair of the CEUS LI-RADS working group since 2014 and has served on the Board of the International Contrast Ultrasound Society (ICUS) since 2017. She has published 67 peer reviewed articles, 13 invited articles and has delivered over 100 scientific presentations and invited lectures world-wide.
