Dr. Huang is one of Asia’s leading experts in CEUS diagnostic imaging and research on the use of CEUS for therapeutic applications. Dr. Huang specializes in CEUS and ultrasonic diagnosis of the liver, pancreas, stomach, carotid plaque, heart, and thyroid, as well as interventional ultrasound. His current work, funded by China’s National Natural Science Foundation, seeks to use microbubbles to treat the tumors by means of low frequency ultrasound and to treat type 2 diabetes using ultrasound mediated gene therapy. He is involved in teaching trainee specialists and medical students. He has published more than 260 papers and has served on the editorial boards of Cancer Letters, Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, and Journal of Ultrasound. He also is a frequent international lecturer, and is the principal investigator on ultrasound contrast agent and interventional ultrasound clinical trials.
