Dr. Kolokythas has been developing and optimizing ultrasound systems for the use of contrast enhanced ultrasound for many years, collaborating with engineers from research and industry, and has been a strong advocate for the use of CEUS as a lecturer and with patients. He is a heavy user of contrast enhanced ultrasound in body imaging applications with focus on liver applications and interventions In his daily practice at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Kolokythas also gained international experience with the use of contrast enhanced ultrasound in various body imaging applications during three years of work at a teaching hospital in Switzerland.
