Andrew Appis

Dr. Appis is the echocardiography laboratory director at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Diego, where he has been recognized for his leadership in the field of echocardiography and contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) imaging. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he served as chief fellow and received specialized training in echocardiography and CEUS. Dr. Appis also is the physician director of the cardiovascular technology program at Grossmont College and serves on national boards of Kaiser Permanente with respect to ultrasound technology. Dr. Appis has published on the safety of CEUS and currently gives lectures both locally and internationally on the topic. He also a member of the San Diego Echo Society.
