What is ICUS Grand Rounds?
"ICUS Grand Rounds" is a new educational initiative of the International Contrast Ultrasound Society (ICUS). ICUS Grand Rounds lectures and demonstrations are available for hospitals, physicians, sonographers, medical insurers and the general public to foster awareness of CEUS safety and appropriate uses. Lecturers are internationally recognized experts in CEUS, including professors, physicians, researchers and sonographers.
How are ICUS Grand Rounds different from "speakers bureaus"?
Each expert lecturer controls the content of his or her own presentation, subject to the policies and ultimate control of the ICUS Board of Directors.
What is CEUS -- and how does it improve patient care, costs and outcomes?
CEUS is a safe, low-cost, radiation-free diagnostic imaging tool.
Specifically, CEUS uses biocompatible ultrasound contrast agents to improve front-line ultrasound scans. This reduces unnecessary downstream testing, thereby lowering overall health care costs and improving patient experiences. CEUS also reduces the need for radiation-based diagnostic imaging, reduces patient mortality and generally improves patient outcomes.
